“In 2005 we, Officer Kicks, made a band. Fanatical about making a record on our own terms we decided to raise the money ourselves. After hundreds of bring’n’buy sales, street theatre appearances and car washing marathons we saved enough shekels to go to Oasis’ studio where the likes of Kasabian and The Coral recorded.
We spent three weeks perfecting The Six Grand Plot, an album that can only be described as unsafe, muscular and whip like.
We then decided to brush up on the live performance. We played Over 100 times in 2006/2007 (UK and Europe), mixed the album at the famous Olympic studio and mastered it with the legend that is Ray Staff (Led Zep, Bowie, Libertines etc.
Independent label, Redemption, pressed up finished CDs of THE SIX GRAND PLOT. It's released this summer.
We are not really ones for studio trickery and prefer to take a more classic approach. We follow in the traditions of Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin and Kings of Leon, I suppose. We not afraid to indulge in a ballad or accidentally write a tune that will touch a wider audience...”

BIOG:
Officer Kicks are on a roll courtesy of authentic pop standards, and a lively following, spawned by gigs that could raise the dead.
Since last year they’ve gigged with Lethal Bizzle, Ocean Colour Scene, Jack Penate, The Courteeners, The View and more, ending 2007 with debut single,
Dog Day Rush, (it earned them Xfm Scotland Single Of The Week , a live session and the day time play list.
2008 began with "Bands To Watch" tips in Heat Magazine / Morning Star Newspaper plus Steve Lamacq, Nuts TV, Xfm London, local BBC Radio etc and a tour with The Hoosiers.
They’ve an amazing live reputation.
Jamie Scallion (Vocals), Michael Skorjanec (Bass), Keith Wickham (Drums), Jamie Fisher (Guitar) passionately share high aspirations and an effervescent spirit. Living their rock n roll dream, 24/7, they write hooky as hell, good time rock songs and play every show as if it were a bawdy house party going down while your parents are outta town.
Secret Garden Party was a W O W of a festival set!
Keep on keeping on guys! (I love this no meaning sentence!) Jack (kicks)
Looking forward to a live show
